Tax break for select equipment.
When
you purchase a high-efficiency air conditioner and/or heating system, you may
qualify for a tax credit under President Bush’s “Emergency Economic
Stabilization Act of 2008”.
Unlike
a tax deduction, which reduces the amount of income subject to tax, a tax
credit reduces the tax itself. The tax credits that apply to qualifying Aspen
air-conditioning and heating coils and air handlers
are available for products placed in service from January 1, 2009
through December 31, 2009.

credits allowed by the U.S. IRS under Section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code.
Plus, you can obtain a certification statement to include with your tax
